A Painting About Devotion, and a Secret…
Hey there,
I wanted to share some quick thoughts on one of my favorite paintings: “Devotion: Red Roses for Her / Remember You Are Loved.”
This painting is all about love without conditions.
The kind of love that lingers and holds you, even when life feels rushed or overwhelming.
When I painted these magenta roses, I imagined a gesture of devotion—God saying, “You matter. You are deeply loved.”
You might notice this painting almost looks like an oil painting. That’s actually a little secret—not many people know I used slow-drying acrylics to create this one.
It gave me time to build and blend colors with the kind of ease you usually only see in oils.
The brushstrokes are intentionally full of movement. Impressionistic floral work, with its loose beauty. I love how it leaves room for emotion and imagination!
If you’ve been needing a visual reminder that you are loved—this is for you.
